Battle Honours

  • Amboor

    • A Rock fort representing Amboor added to Colors by special resolution of the government.

    • The first battle honour ever awarded to a battalion of the Madras Army.

    • The battalion was briefly re-titled the Amboor Battalion.

  • Carnatic

    • This honour is not mentioned in the regimental history but probably related to the Second Mysore War. It is possibly related to the siege of Tanjore in 1773.

  • First World War:
